Soft or stiff?
BS Acapulko Script
A quiet precision defines their form, a natural geometry without intent. Shadows lengthen across the surface of the lagoon; they seem almost measured, as if aligned with invisible grids. The rhythm of tide and breeze governs what appears still.

MIST RISES AT DAWN, SOFTENING THE OUTLINES OF ROCK & LEAF.
BS Acapulko Script
Between two rocks, water settles in a shallow pool, clear enough to reveal fine grains shifting below. Tiny bubbles rise and vanish, marking the tide’s quiet return. At the edge, a single feather floats, turning slowly in the fading light.
Near the base of the dunes, grass bends under a faint wind, its motion almost imperceptible. Each blade catches a trace of salt, shining briefly before dulling again. Footprints cross the slope in intervals, already half-erased.

Song of Creation
BS Acapulko Script
A driftwood branch rests at the tide line, its angles fractured yet precise. One half is stripped smooth, the other etched with fine cuts, as though the sea had signed its name. Around it, smaller fragments gather: 5 shells, 2 spiral, 3 broken, each a record of compression and release.
The cluster of stones lies beneath the palms, their surfaces polished by salt and rain. One glimmers faintly, another fades into the shade, each holding a trace of distance. Nearby, a narrow pool reflects the sky, its surface trembling with the quiet breath of wind.
Beneath the still canopy, soft light filters through in thin, deliberate lines. Each movement of air reshapes the pattern, slow and exact. Along the sand, small fragments of coral glint faintly, their pale surfaces catching what the ocean leaves behind.

BS Acapulko is a stunning copperplate script font that embodies the elegance and formality of the 18th century while incorporating modern digital type design techniques. Designed by Arthur Schwarz, this formal script typeface draws inspiration from Charles Snell’s drawing, “believer in simple and effective form.” While traditional copperplate scripts are drawn with a pointed nib pen, BS Acapulko offers a more versatile and digitally refined approach, resulting in a legible and expressive script typeface that is both classic and contemporary.
This careful though not quiet, calligraphy-inspired typeface features a multitude of strong typographic details such as the terminals of s, v, w, sf and st ligatures, or even a, g, d, q unconnected strokes. The moderate slant of BS Acapulko’s letterforms contributes to its soft and smooth curves, making it a refined script font that is both a pleasure to read and visually distinctive.
BS Acapulko is available in two styles: Script and Italic, offering stylistic variation suited for every design requiring an elegant script font.
