The courtyard looked peaceful enough, though every conversation seemed to carry a slight undertone, as if guests were choosing their words with rehearsed care. A soft breeze moved through the palms, unsettling nothing but the illusion of ease.

A lounge filled with low voices and careful smiles, each one polished to hide whatever lingered underneath. Outside, the sea kept its steady rhythm, indifferent to the fragile balance everyone worked so hard to maintain.

The guests smiled the way people do when they’re trying to signal ease, but the air between them felt slightly over-polished, like a lobby that’s been cleaned once too often. The infinity pool reflected their conversations back at them, flattening every intention into something strangely hollow.

A server passed by, expression unreadable, as if he’d heard the same stories a hundred times and stopped believing any of them.

At breakfast, the clatter of cutlery felt slightly out of sync, like an orchestra warming up before choosing a key. People studied one another with gentle smiles and sharp eyes, pretending they weren’t keeping score. Room 314 sent down a special request, again, though no one seemed brave enough to ask why. The staff moved with perfect posture, but every gesture suggested they knew more than they ever intended to say.

Rocks hold subtle gradients that shift as clouds drift lazily overhead.

Sunlight spreads across the desert floor, highlighting the subtle hues of clay and stone. Sparse shrubs sway in the gentle wind, their shadows stretching long and thin. Far off, a narrow canyon cuts through the landscape, its walls catching the fading light like polished bronze.

Evening mist gathers along the garden steps, softening stone and foliage. Lanterns flicker with precision, casting amber bands across the walkway. Beyond the hedge, guests’ murmur rises and falls, calm yet carrying a faint, restless pulse.

Room 409 requested extra towels again, a detail whispered among staff with quiet amusement.

BS Resort Classic is a typographic hybrid display typeface: its structure follows the clarity of a neo-grotesque, while its strong vertical contrast draws from the Didone tradition. It is not a revival nor an homage: it is an artificial invention, designed to explore what contrast in sans serif design can become when detached from its historical context.
With its steady rhythm, tight spacing, and precise proportions, BS Resort Classic retains the clarity of a grotesque-inspired font, yet introduces details that disrupt expectations such as the forward-leaning S and s, or the dramatic upper stroke of the f.
BS Resort Classic includes several sets of thoughtfully designed alternates to enhance versatility: the a and g offer single-storey forms; the l features a curved terminal at the base; the t has a straight terminal without curl; punctuation marks and dots include rounded shapes; and the uppercase letters Ä, Ö and Ü display distinctive titled terminals.
The typeface exists across three optical styles: upright, Italic (13°) and Super Italic (26°), each available in ten weights for a total of 30 font styles, plus a variable font for greater flexibility.
