A finished piece sits untouched on the desk. Its presence is quiet, self-contained. The print smells faintly of ink and paper dust. Beyond the work, there is stillness.
BS Notion Italic
Inside an agency, dialogue moves in circles. Clients speak of essence, identity, emotion. Designers answer with geometry, contrast, and restraint. A logo is refined until it holds nothing superfluous.
BS Notion Regular (Circular Alternates)
The studio hums before daylight. Screens glow softly, tracing the outlines of unfinished work. On a nearby table, print proofs are aligned edge to edge, their corners sharp, their colors still settling. Everything feels suspended between thought and material. Typography becomes a way of breathing: measured, deliberate and precise.

TYPE IS A MEMORY MADE VISIBLE. Each curve traces the intention of its maker. Numerals hold proportion like instruments in a chamber piece. Capitals anchor the voice; lowercase lets it move.

BS Notion is a geometric typeface with a pragmatic spirit and understated elegance. Rooted in the tradition of early grotesque-inspired fonts, it balances formal construction with subtle warmth. Its slightly condensed proportions make it particularly well-suited as a text typeface, combining economy of space with a strong typographic rhythm.
Designed from a minimalist type design perspective, BS Notion favors clean, straight terminals that reinforce its functional typeface character. This is particularly visible in characters like a, f, g, r, t and Q, where structural clarity takes precedence over ornament.
BS Notion features two sets of flexible alternates to enhance usability. The first transforms oval terminals into near-perfect circles, shifting the tone from utilitarian to subtly expressive. The second introduces rounded forms for punctuation and diacritics, offering a softer, more approachable texture.
The family spans ten weights from Hairline to Black, each with a matching italic, for a total of 20 styles. A variable font is also available, enabling responsive typography across a wide range of contexts.
