About us

Bolid System was founded in 2025 by Arthur Schwarz and Maël Bächtold, whose shared background in visual communication and type design shaped a clear and complementary approach. Both graduates of ÉCAL, we built a design practice that combines precision with forward-looking ideas. Arthur brings deep experience in typography as a designer and creative strategist while Maël has worked across type design, poster design, and identity systems.

Together, we create typefaces ranging from bold display styles to extensive text families, always crafted with precision, purpose, and care. We believe type is a material that shapes how ideas are seen, read and understood.
